John Tooke

Professor Sir John Tooke (MA MSc BM BCh DM DSc (Oxon) FRCP FRCGP (Hon) FAcadMed (Hon) FMedSci) is Vice Provost (Health) and Head of the Medical School at UCL. In this role he is the academic lead for UCL in relation to the AHSC, UCL Partners, and UKCMRI.

Sir John was appointed President of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2011. He is immediate past Chair of the Medical Schools Council, a member of the NIHR Advisory Board and has led National Reviews into Barriers to Clinical Effectiveness and Postgraduate Medical Training.
