Dr Mark Bodmer joins GMEC Cluster Committee

We are delighted to welcome Dr Mark Bodmer onto the GMEC Cluster Committee as the representative for industry partner GlaxoSmithKline.

Following a PhD in Genetics from Cambridge University, Dr Bodmer has gained a wide variety of industrial experience, initially joining Celltech Group plc and rising to become Director of Biology in 1994. From 1996 to 2007 he worked successively as CEO of 3 successful start-up companies: Hexagen, Lorantis and Biotica. Dr Bodmer joined GlaxoSmithKline in 2007 and was appointed Senior Vice President of the ImmunoInflammation CEDD in November 2009.
